Introduction
          
The purpose of this booklet is to help churches and colleges
or universities explore ways that they can work together in
mutual ministry.  The underlying assumption is that building
such partnerships can enhance and enrich both the academic
community and the life of the congregation.
          
For whom is this booklet designed?
          
(1) Those volunteers or staff hoping to initiate projects or
programs involving a church or churches in ministry on campus.
This booklet will offer those seeking to initiate campus ministry
with visions of the possibilities and tools to explore needs and
resources.
          
(2) Those already involved in ministry on campus who wish to
strengthen ties between the college and area churches.  This

their current situations and explore new visions.
          
(3) Those leaders who may be asked to help churches develop
ministries in higher education.  This booklet is a resource they
can share with others.
